No, no, no!

Here's a tip of advice to the gorgeous ladies that wear 19inch heels to school: don't!

I can't tell you how many times I've seen girls wear heels, that they can't even walk in, to school. First, it's not cute to watch you stumble and wobble down the hallways. In your head, you're strutting the catwalk; to everyone else, you are making a fool out of yourself. You look a mess! I know you saw that model on tv wearing them, and I know they may be cute. However, they were not meant for everyone. It takes practice to get good at walk in heels. It's not easy and doesn't come naturally. I'm honestly just looking out for you. Flats are every girl's best friend.

Besides the fact that 98.746% of girls can't walk in them, school is not a formal occasion. It is certainly not fancy enough to wear heels to. Unless you have a presentation or something, most of the time you just look ridiculous wearing heels in school.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Put your sneakers back on :)

This goes out to those wonderful students who refuse to take responsibility.

I'm very sick of hearing "it's not my fault." Especially when a bad grade is what they are talking about.

I'll let you in on a little secret: it is your fault. I'm a very strong believer that if a person puts in the effort, they'll succeed. Maybe a certain class requires more time studying or doing homework than another, but school wasn't meant to be easy.

When I hear a student blame the teacher for them not doing well in a class, it drives me crazy. If you don't understand a concept, then come after school, ask a classmate, or look it up on Google, for God's sake! A grade is something you EARN. I'm pretty sure teachers don't have personal vendettas against a students. What you get is what you earn.

Just something to think about next time you want to hand off some blame to your teacher. Or for the next time you want to claim you poor performance in school is "not your fault."

Get off the video games and do your work! I bet ten dollars if you got an A, then that'd be allllll on you! That's just how it works for teenagers.

Change it.

Hi. It's me again, the complainer.

This week may come as a disappointment to you guys, but this is something I have to get off my chest. I know a lot of you come to this blog to read my mean rants about my schoolmates, but I'm really not a mean person.

I'm actually becoming weighed down by all the negativity flowing from my finger tips. I also feel like I'm coming across as extremely judgmental and a bit stuck-up. I'm not.

Granted, there are a lot of things I don't like about Bird, however, there are many redeeming qualities about the fantastic school I've spent the last four years in. In this week's blog, I'd like to highlight them.

We are incredibly diverse. It's gotten to the point where a person's race isn't even noticed. On any given day, I can walk down the hall and see a black person, an Asian, and a Hispanic all walking together past me. I think that's a beautiful thing. We don't segregate. Cliques don't even exist at Bird.

We have the best football team in the entire world. Yeahhhhh, go skyhawks!

The teachers are very dedicated to help the students succeed.

We have tons of school spirit.

I go there, can't really top that.

I've found that when kids get around each other, they lose their common sense and forget the manners their mommas taught them. Most importantly, I've realized that when you get them one on one, you find out that they are an individual. They are awesome. I think every student at Bird is so special and has mountains of potential, it's just when they get around other people is when they make me want to throw and punch things.

I just wanted to clear things up.
